Houston, Texas — April 5, 2026 — A Kazakh Nauryz cultural festival featuring leading artists from Kazakhstan will take place in Houston on April 5, bringing together live music, traditional food, and community celebration to mark one of Central Asia’s oldest holidays.

Organized by the Texas Qazaq Foundation, with DPMN as the main sponsor, the event will be held from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the GSH Event Center, a venue in southwest Houston known for hosting large cultural gatherings.

The festival will feature performances by a lineup of well-known and emerging Kazakh artists, including Zhubanish Jeksenuly, Sadraddin, Ablay Tlepbergen, Yenlik, and Rauana. Together, the lineup reflects a blend of traditional, classical, and contemporary Kazakh music.

Sadraddin

Sadraddin will perform at the Houston Nauryz festival as part of the visiting lineup from Kazakhstan. He is a Kazakh singer and songwriter who has received recognition in the country’s music industry, including honors such as the state youth award “Дарын.”

Yenlik

Yenlik will perform as part of the festival’s contemporary lineup. She is a Kazakh singer-songwriter whose music blends R&B, hip-hop, and pop, and she has been active in the music industry since 2021.

Zhubanish Jeksenuly

Zhubanish Jeksenuly will perform at the festival as part of the lineup from Kazakhstan. He is a Kazakh tenor who has performed with institutions including the Shymkent Regional Philharmonic and the “Gulder” state ensemble.

Ablay Tlepbergen

Ablay Tlepbergen will represent Kazakhstan’s classical music tradition at the festival. He serves as the principal conductor of the Kurmangazy Orchestra, one of the country’s leading ensembles of national instruments.

Rauana

Rauana will perform at the Houston Nauryz festival as part of the emerging artist lineup. Her recent releases include singles such as “sen” and “jai men” (2025), as well as earlier tracks like “armanym” (2024) and “otken shaq” (2023).

Celebrated for more than 3,000 years, Nauryz marks the arrival of spring and symbolizes renewal, unity, and new beginnings across Central Asia.

In addition to live performances, the festival will feature traditional Kazakh yurt, a cultural marketplace with local vendors, Central Asian cuisine, and family-friendly activities designed to showcase heritage and community life.

While multiple communities across Houston observe Nauryz each year, the Texas Qazaq Foundation’s event places a specific focus on Kazakh traditions. Houston is home to one of the largest Kazakh communities in the United States, reflecting a broader and growing Central Asian presence in Texas.

Founded by members of the Kazakh diaspora, the Texas Qazaq Foundation works to strengthen community connections through cultural, educational, and youth initiatives while preserving Kazakh language and heritage.

Tickets for the event are available through Eventbrite.
